Maybe it was a combination of things. Our parents, especially women, had fewer options if their marriage was horrific and in some places, you weren't allowed to divorce. Thanks for reading. I appreciate the feedback you give me and I am going to package all these together for a short story book.

Also, I can’t imagine having the WHOLE family along with no privacy. Reminds me of that scene in the Godfather.
